The Red Dot – and the power of art on a day of deca-dence

As I embark on a little trip to the rich soulful canvas of the desert Southwest, a space that has held my spirit on many early spring adventures growing up and fostered my young love of pastel sunsets, all that gallops, glittering skylines from perches of perspective, giggles in starry-skied hot tubs and all things mountainous – I am about to reconnect with art in all it’s forms. There will be hikes and yoga, petroglyphs, canvases for my aunt, emerging online images, high desert art walks, the galleries of Santa Fe, a raw restaurant called Body, and a steamy soak of 10,000 waves. Before I lark on this colorful janut to an autumnal space scented with cacti and warmed earth, I want to leave you with the latest from the AP news wire,  on this very auspicious day of deca-dence, about the very power of art, the beauty of the red dot, finding your muse, and filling your spaces with the soulful things that turn you on. – ali

The Red Dot

Writing is ecstacygod is like gravity and we worship at the church of striped socks here at the studio where plans for a well-hung chocolate-covered art + dessert party are under there.

Our love of minimalism here at Auspicious HQ lights up the important things in life and opens the way for sparks of imagination to fly, which usually results in plenty of great artwork. With all this creativity bursting forth, there’s hardly enough wall space for all those canvases at the petite StudioMAX. So, we’re having a red dot sale.

The red dot reminds us of a bindi, which reminds us of the iconic saffron dot of our namesake, and all that makes us ponder the power of art. As a drop of good fortune, the auspicious red mark symbolizes the point of all creation itself – from cell to idea – as the fire of passion and destruction, turns the cycle of creation. We play with a lot of creative pyrotechnics here at the studio and keep that creative center turning in our primal body of perception.

Experience the ineffable with one of our soul canvases:
